Three weeks, three countries, one team. This is Our Voice! Our Voice – Because every life matters! There are no words to describe how proud we are of our young people in Our Voice.
We have completed the international training phase of our Our Voice programme, in which 24 selected young people in care received hands-on training, giving them useful practical knowledge and tools to become peer helpers and help children and young people in difficult situations.
The adventure weeks were carried out with young people in three countries: Hungary, Romania and Belgium. On the last day together, the young people received their Youthpass certificates, which will help them apply for EU programmes.
We became a real community during the programme, so it was no wonder that it was painful to say goodbye. But, as the saying goes, every end is the beginning of something new.
That’s certainly the case for us: in 2024, the young people will continue to work with individual mentors who will help them to sharpen the skills they have acquired during their training, to the benefit of many children in care.
